I am committed to being considerate in all the ways, and one of those ways is striving to minimize waste in my process. In trying to find a purpose for leftover scraps, I was inspired to make these super cute scrunchies ! *Waste as inspiration. Waste as possibility*
This is the "baby" scrunchie meaning it is 0.75" wide (the standard scrunchies are 1.25" wide).
All scrunchies are one of a kind and incorporate as many scraps as possible - materials and/or elastic. However, I do want to be fully transparent and ensure that I am not being misleading and state that they are not entirely made from scraps. This is because some larger pieces are required to make these and I generally don't have larger scraps because I'm being conscious of how I'm cutting the mask patterns to minimize large scraps to begin with. But the inspiration is from scraps and I am including as many as I can, where I can. I am also working on releasing a limited edition run of scrunchies that are entirely made from smaller patchworked scraps! Stay tuned :)
